Ceol / Music
Daithí has 10+ years of experience performing at weddings and funerals, either as a soloist, ensemble member, conductor or instrumentalist (primarily guitar and bodhrán). He has performed as a soloist/cantor in great venues from Newfoundland to Shanghai and Osaka and, most recently, in John Lateran Basilica in Rome. His repertoire ranges from (but is not limited to) ballads and sean-nós to musical theatre and choral polyphony. Be it a religious or secular service, he can advise on the best suited music and where it should be placed, whether a couple is choosing the right love song on their special day, or a family is looking for the right instrumental by which to remember a loved one. Each musical element of a service will be treated with the greatest care and respect.
Whether as a soloist or through the project-based ensemble, The VICELT Singers, musical needs will be catered for, from medieval to modern!
